Title: Hotel Affairs
Author: telturwen
Genre(s): Romance, Betrayal
Rating: T
Disclaimer: All the following content belongs to the author. It may not be used without the author's consent.
Summary: I think this one is fairly self-explanatory, and if I were to sum up, it would give away everything.
Warnings: It gets the tiniest bit sexually graphic, and violence is implied.
Notes: If you don't get it, or you have any questions about how anything is phrased or why some words are used, there is an explanation of symbolize, foreshadowing and language use beneath the poem under the cut.

She's quite a good actor...Collapse )

Summary: A monarchy needs a king to rule it and a war needs a leader, but it won't be the kings who are remembered here. The people of their realms who they thought would be forgotten, they will be the ones that change the timeline forever.
Notes: I'll be posting this over a looong period of time, since I only have maybe 7 chapters completed and I've been working on it for five years.

So how must we judge a hero?Collapse )
Title: Bringing My Mother to the Police Station to Make Bail
Author: telturwen
Genre(s): Parody, Drama
Rating: E

Summary: The story of a neglected rich kid. He wants his mother's attention, but not even crashing his car and stealing from a liquor store is enough to distract her thoughts from herself for one freakin' minute.
Notes: This poem was inspired by Shoshauna Shy's "Bringing My Son to the Police Station to be Fingerprinted". Why such a long title, you ask? There are several different interpretations to this poem; one being the mother is trying to repress the fact that her son has to go to the police station; another that she is too self-absorbed to care where they are or why they're there. I chose the latter to base my inspirational poem off of.

I was told I was supposed to do this, so here 'tis. Enjoy when convenient.

1. What is your character's name?
Tara Taylor. I don't even remember how I arrived at this name, but I do remember the reason I agreed to it was because of the character Tara from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I liked her a lot, and I love her name, so...

Genres: Themes
Rating: C

Summary: There's a point in everyone's life when they're asked the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" It's usually fireman, astronaut or princess. For one nine-year-old, the usual didn't even enter his mind.
Notes: Look for the themes of adulthood as you read. You'll probably figure them all out by the end.

Fandom: Supernatural
Genres: Horror/paranormal
Rating: T
Disclaimer: We own everything that you don’t recognize and nothing that you do. Any relation to real life people, places, events, etc. is unintentional and purely coincidental.
Summary: Suicide attempts aren’t usually the Winchester brothers’ forte, but this case seems a little sketchy. When twenty-five-year-old Tara Taylor puts her head in an electric oven and is mysteriously poisoned by carbon monoxide, Sam and Dean show up temporarily incognito as grief counselors in order to question Tara’s sister, Callie, for information. When they learn that the girls’ parents had been killed in an automobile accident involving the toxic gas eight years earlier, the parallels between said deaths and the suicide attempts become almost staggering. When more shocking discoveries are made, Sam and Dean become skeptical that these girls’ parents were ever properly put to rest.
Warnings: Mild language here and there, thematic elements dealing with death and suicide, and possibly some romancin'.
Notes: This is the first story in a series based entirely off of the Ten Commandments, hence the titles. Chapter Two coming soon. Comments would be just fantastic. Mostly we just want to know whether or not people are reading this so we don't feel like we are wasting our time. Also, ideally, this takes place during Season One.

Let's go check out the suicidal chick.Collapse )
